The Division of Humanities and Fine Arts prides itself in educating
students for life. Designed to enhance personal and professional growth,
the course work offered by the Division support a life of intellectual
exploration, integrated learning, and personal development.
The program of study for Communication begins with introductory courses that provide an overview of the discipline and allow one to learn where their focused interested reside. Students take a series of required classes designed to develop both oral and written communication skills, as well as understand research methods and the theories that provide a foundation for effective communication. Students round out their degree by selecting an area of interest and taking courses that develop more focused and advanced skills. The program of study prepares students for graduate study or a variety of careers in Communication related fields. Students work closely with their advisors to select appropriate courses and electives to meet individual education and career goals.
