Degree Completion Programs
Students who have already completed the appropriate general education and distribution requirements may complete the required junior and senior courses online with minimal, if any, campus attendance. The exact amount of on-campus attendance during the junior and senior years will vary based on the choice of electives and other program choices.

The program of study for Technical and Professional Writing begins with a range of introductory courses in literature and language before moving into the advanced study of writing and English language. A senior seminar capstone course completes the study. The program can be selected by students who wish to combine an expertise in writing with expertise in other fields.

The program of study for Communication begins with introductory courses that provide an overview of the discipline and allow one to learn where their interests reside. Students take a series of required classes designed to develop both oral and written communication skills, as well as understand research methods and the theories that provide a foundation for effective communication. Students round out their degree by selecting an area of interest and taking courses that develop more focused and advanced skills.

It is required that all new students in the Choices program meet with an IU campus representative in person. This orientation session provides an excellent opportunity to fulfill this requirement.
